Inspired by the CBS reality TV show “The Amazing Race”, this activity fostered team building and collaboration among the ARIES cohorts. Similar to the TV show, it included a series of checkpoints, where teams faced challenges to receive clues for the subsequent checkpoints. The challenges focused on general and scientific knowledge, science dissemination, and team building. The first team to arrive at each checkpoint received a bonus treat, while the last team had to carry a penalty to the next checkpoint. At the finish line, the winners were awarded a symbolic prize.
