Analogue photography remains relevant even in the era of advanced smartphone cameras. Film cameras significantly contribute to artistic expression due to their tactile qualities and unique textures. However, the decline of professional photo development services has limited this practice primarily to universities and professional photographers. The Portable Photo Development Lab aims to make analogue photography more accessible once more by co-designing open-source development tools that anyone can construct in makerspaces or FabLabs.
Tools:
Adobe Illustrator; pinhole photography; analogue development
