The visual representations and public conversations an individual engages with shape their imagination about a topic. In this workshop, I examined the perceptions of currently available smart home technologies. This session formed part of my doctoral research aimed at promoting a more ethical and equitable smart home technology industry. Participants employed visual methods to enhance their understanding and experiences with smart home technologies. This workshop format is adaptable to various contexts for exploring public imaginaries, as the activities were designed for participants to reflect on their perspectives and, through visual means, render them analysable.
