Shape illusion

The idea was to create a structure that would provoke the illusion of a three-dimensional volume from the juxtaposition of two-dimensional blades. It is a re-reading of the work "Where are you" (2008), by South African artist Jonty Hurwitz, who is also an engineer and usually works with visual distortions in his works. The process consists of volumetric scanning of the body, 3D digital modeling, preparation of the file for laser cutting, positioning of parts and final assembly of the structure, forming from the blades the illusion of the original volume.
